Digital Airport Munich officially released
Another major product powered by NavVis technology is now available online: the Digital Airport Munich. Users can now explore the entire Airport Munich from their browser and on mobile devices. The digital map of the airport contains over 1,000 points of interest such as shops, bars, restaurants, and of course departure gates.

Customers can now experience the inside of a Mömax store from anywhere in the world directly through their browser.
Users can navigate to specific sections or use their mouse to explore the store click by click.
Unlike current online shopping, NavVis technology displays the furniture in 3D, embedded in a photorealistic environment, giving customers a great first look at Mömax’ offerings before they make their way to a physical store.

Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship 2014 for NAVVIS research project
NavVis congratulates Dominik Van Opdenbosch, who is part of the NAVVIS research project at the Institute for Media Technology at TUM, for winning a Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship 2014 from Qualcomm Research Germany.
With his innovation proposal in visual localization he received one of three fellowships among several highly competitive applications.

Their Android-based prototype smartphone is equipped with everything a computer vision researcher could dream of: A depth sensor to estimate the geometry in the direct vicinity, a wide angle camera, and the processing power to fuse all the data.
