Working Student / Intern Technical Documentation (f/m) based in Munich

  

The Customer Experience Team at NavVis is an interdisciplinary group of engineers, designers, writers, and business builders. Our mission is to design and provide an outstanding service experience, to collect and analyze user insights, and to put these insights into practice together with our development teams.

As an intern or working student in our team, you will help us maintain our User Education portfolio (user documentation, community blog, etc.).

You will work on:

  • Writing and editing user documentation in English for NavVis hardware and software
  • Writing and reviewing blog articles in English for different audiences
  • Establishing authoring guidelines
  • Researching a structured authoring workflow for our user documentation
  • Collaborating internally with project teams to share and gather information and to ensure high-quality documentation

You have:

  • Already completed at least two years of your bachelor’s or one year of your master’s degree in English, Translation Studies, Technical Communication, E-Learning Systems, Information Design, or similar
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following: topic-based (structured) authoring or a markup/markdown language such as HTML, XML or reStructuredText
  • Fun working in a young, international, and interdisciplinary team

You are:

  • A team player and a good listener with strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent in English (native speaker or equivalent)
  • Interested in concepts such as information design, single-sourcing and content reuse
  • Flexible and keen to learn new technologies
  • Motivated to try new things and to share your insights with others

We will be thrilled if you have:

  • Experience with content management systems such as ST4, Author-It or similar
  • Knowledge of tools such as InDesign, PhotoShop, WordPress or similar
  • Experience with XML editors such as XMetaL or Oxygen or similar
