People Operations Manager (part time) - f/m based in Munich

Join our growing, international, innovative, supportive and "hands-on" People Team to help us rewrite the playbook on how employees are found, challenged, and retained at a successful high-tech startup!  

You will work on:

  • Operational ownership around all aspects of People Administration at NavVis (i.e. end-to-end employee & student life-cycles management from an administrative perspective from issuing contracts to change letters to letters of references)
  • Joining forces with our Recruiters to extend offers to great candidates
  • Responsibility for running our automated employee payroll at NavVis for our Munich-based colleagues plus adhoc collaboration and support with payroll processes in our other NavVis locations (USA & China)
  • Being the go-to-person for our employees regarding contract, social security, health insurance or tax-related questions 
  • Working closely with our Finance team and external tax & accounting firm on related reporting topics
  • Taking a strategic approach to review how our internal people-related processes and employee self-services tools work now and proactively suggesting new tools or efficiency gains to build on what we have
  • Taking a big-picture view of the current set of employee benefits we offer globally and proactively analyzing and suggesting new opportunities build out this offering, working closely with our Finance team 
  • Getting a deep look at how we run other People Process at NavVis (recruiting, employee development, and team development) and having the near-term opportunity to work in these areas

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or HR management from a German university or the completion of an accredited training in Personnel Administration ("Personreferent/in")
  • 2+ years experience in a People Administration role in a German-based company or HR Shared Services firm
  • Ideally spent a semester abroad or had a work experience in a country other than Germany, providing you with a global mindset & great intercultural people skills
  • The ability to work in a 60-70% capacity in our centrally-located office in Munich where most employees come by bicycle
  • Know-how in the administration of German social security, employment law, health insurance, and tax-related matters for employees
  • A customer-service attitude, friendly disposition, and passion for helping all of our international employees at NavVis understand the "system", which is often quite different from other countries
  • Eye for detail and great written and oral communication skills
  • Proactivity, a self-starter & team-player!
  • A deep interest in learning all aspects of HR
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and very good English
