Software Engineer Android (f/m) based in Munich

You will work on:

  • The NavVis mobile software stack for indoor positioning and indoor navigation
  • The NavVis mobile SDK for Android
  • The NavVis mobile app for Android "Campus Maps"
  • The cross-platform code-base of our mobile SDKs

You have:

  • Extensive experience in developing, deploying and maintaining apps for Android
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Android SDK and ecosystem
  • Solid experience with best practices in software development for Android
  • The drive to stay up-to-date on latest tools and developments all around Android (maybe tried Kotlin)
  • At least three years of work experience

  • Passionate about clean code and elegant software design
  • Eager to develop using modern, effective toolchains and processes
  • Interested in working with multiple platforms and software stacks
  • Keen to find efficient algorithms to solve challenging problems
  • Motivated to follow and learn about the latest technology trends

  • Fluent in English (our office language)

We will be thrilled if you have:

  • Experience in developing with C++ (C++11 or newer)
  • Worked with the Android NDK and developed in C++ for Android
  • Played around with Augmented Reality using ARCore
  • Experience with development tools such as Git, CMake, GDB, Clang-Tidy, or Valgrind
  • Worked with CI/CD systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or Bamboo
  • Experience in test automation (desktop or mobile)
  • Proficiency in using Linux and the command line
  • Developed client-server applications
  • Contributed to an open-source project
  • Experience with OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal
  • Developed software using agile principles
